Paradoxon landscape: hills that turn into valleys, staircases that go up and down at once, a road that wraps around itself, a building that is half café and half library, an impossible triangle, and a tree with an upside-down reflection

Planet

Paradoxon

Paradoxon has a landscape that changes depending on how you look at it. A hill, seen from the right, becomes a valley; a café, seen from an angle, looks like a library; staircases go up and down at the same time, and every road seems to lead exactly where you least expect.

The inhabitants, the Paradoxians, don’t worry about it one bit: they live serenely among sums that don’t seem to add up and situations that seem impossible, because they know a simple secret. Every paradox, seen from the right side, has a perfectly reasonable explanation. The trick is finding that side, and not being fooled by first impressions.

Dord hates Paradoxon with every fiber of his being: he’s convinced the planet is making fun of him on purpose, and he’s probably right. Liz has learned to drive around bends that go left and right at the same time, and when things get confusing she dances to keep her bearings. M00N has a wonderful time: to her, every paradox is just a surprise waiting to be understood.
